Auckland delivery is between 2 and 5 working days. We use NZ Couriers for larger orders over $50 and NZ post courier service for smaller orders.
Waiheke Islanders can arrange a local pickup at checkout and collect from us at 10 Ocean View Road.
Rural delivery may take a little longer. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.
For international orders please allow between 5 and 10 working days for delivery once it has been dispatched. We use DHL Express for all outgoing international orders - if you have a preferred courier please get in touch.

Yes! As we make most products ourselves, we are able to ensure every garment is crafted sustainably, using natural fibres. Because all our fibres are created by nature rather than in a petrochemical laboratory, every product is naturally renewable, recyclable and biodegradable. We ensure every supplier we work with uses sustainable practices for their raw materials and where possible we source from New Zealand companies to support our local textile industry.
Yes! We only use factories we would be happy for our customers to visit - factories where the workers fairly paid, offered training and up-skilling opportunities - our goal is to help grow, develop and maintain a local, sustainable knitwear industry.
Anything that is New Zealand made, we have created ourselves in our Transparent Factory on Waiheke Island; we call it Transparent as you can come any day of the week and see us making the garments right before your eyes -no secrets here! Returns and Exchanges
All products are covered for a 30 day no questions asked refund or exchange (unlesss specified on the product page for hygiene reasons) as long as they are unworn and in their original condition with tags attached. We always aim for make sure our customers love our products, but if you do need to return an order, we’re happy to help. Just email us directly and we’ll take you through the process.

Yes. The Ahipao does not cover the cost of return postage or insurance. We recommend using a post service with a tracking number.
Ahipao cannot be held liable for garments that are lost or damaged in the return process.

We work hard to ensure all of our products are beautifully engineered to the highest quality. However if you have a concern with a faulty or damaged item, please email email@example.com with a description and images of your product fault.
For any exchanges, we issue a store credit so can choose your exchange item yourself once we receive your returns.

As soon as our warehouse receives your return, we will start processing it - please note that it can take up to 5 business days for us to finalise your return from the day we receive the item back. As soon as it’s processed, we will send you an email confirmation.
Refunds: Please allow up to 14 business days for the funds to clear into your account. Store Credits: Issued and emailed to you as soon as your return has been finalised.

Cashmere is one of the worlds finest, most luxurious fibres in the world. It is renowned for its extreme softness, warmth and lustrous quality. The finest, lofty fibres are taken from the underbelly of goats.
After the manufacturing processes, cashmere yarn retains its loftiness. Its extreme warmth, yet delicate softness against the skin, makes cashmere the perfect fibre for luxurious garments.
Cashmere, Possum and silk blend, Cirrus, is a luxury fibre that is softer, lighter and more wonderful than even nature could create. Known as "pill-free" cashmere, this blend has the softness of cashmere with an added layer of durability from the strong fibres of possum fur and silk. Content: 40% Cashmere, 40% Brushtail Possum fur and 20% Mulberry silk.
Merino wool, Brush tail possum down and Mulberry silk, Nimbus, is a luxury fibre that is a super soft wool blend that has become iconic in New Zealand knitwear production. Content: 65% ZQ Merino Wool, 35% Brush tail possum down and 10% Mulberry Silk.
Merino wool is a natural fibre grown by Merino sheep. It’s thinner and softer than regular wool—making it easy to wear next to skin. Merino wool is 100% wool and contains lanolin.
All our garments are made from natural fibres so require a little bit of special care. - Hand wash in luke warm water using a delicate detergent.
- Squeeze the suds gently through the fabric without rubbing, wringing or stretching the garment, then rinse thoroughly in water of the same temperature.
- Wrap in a towel and squeeze to remove excess liquid. - Lie flat to dry out of direct sunlight
- Cool iron if neccessary
- Do NOT tumble dry
Knitwear should never be hung up - always folded as a prolonged amount of hanging may result in the garment stretching out of shape. If your garment is going to be stored for a long period of time (aka for summer) we recommend storing it in a plastic bag or container. This is to protect it from moths. You can also spray the garments with our Cashmere Spray that contains Cedar oil and acts as a natural repellant to moths.
Natural fibres are better to wear as they are lightweight, soft, non-clammy, warm in the cold and cool in the heat. They are also the more sustainable option as they are grown in nature rather than manufactured in a petrochemical laboratory. Natural fibres are naturally renewable, recyclable and biodegradeable.
